Adv. SHARADKUMAR DAMODAR MOKASHI is a pillar of the entire CKP community.
Starting with establishing the CKP Mandal, Vile Parle and creating the beautiful building of the Mandal, Adv. Mokashi has been actively invoilved in every aspect of the CKP Mandal, Vile Parle. The Mandal has been one of the most progressive and prospering CKP organizations across the country. Most of the credit of this success must be accredited to this great man – The Pillar of CKP Mandal, Vile Parle as also of the entire CKP community. While Adv. Mokashi has been actively involved at the helm of the activities of CKP Mandal, Vile Parle, he has mastered the art of defusing any and every controversy amongst the colleagues under his wings. His word has been the last word for everyone around only because of the strong faith of his colleagues in the transparency of his working. Whatever Adv. Mokashi advises has to be in the best interest of the Mandal as well as the entire CKP clan is the faith of his colleagues. That’s the reason his word is respected by one an all.
Adv. Mokashi finished his school education in his birthplace – Pen in Raigad district. Later he obtained the degree s of B.A. and LL.B. in the years 1954 and 1956 respectively.
He passed the exam of Bar Council of Bombay and obtained the “Sanad†of Bombay High Court. After that, he has been practicing as Criminal Lawyer in Mumbai till today.
During the period from 1978 to 1989, Adv. Mokashi worked as Professor in Jaycee College of Law, Juhu and also as paper-setter and examiner for LL.B. and LL.M. examinations along with his law practice.
Adv. Sharad Mokashi also worked as a Professor for LL.M. in University of Mumbai for two years. He also participated as Lecturer in the Training Program of Bar Council of Maharashtra & Goa.
SOCIAL AND EDUCATIONAL WORK :
CHANDRASENIYA KAYASTH PRABHU MANDAL, VILE PARLE
Adv. Sharad Mokashi moved to Vile Parle in 1961. From 1968, till today he is involved in CKP Mandal, Vile Parle in various capacities. Initially he worked as VIce-President and President for 20 years. Later he became Trustee and at present, he is the Chairman Trustee.
AKHIL BHARATIYA CKP MADHYAWARTI SANSTHA
Initially, he was President of Mumbai (West) Region of AB CKP Madhyawarti Sanstha. Later he worked as vice-President and President of Madhywarti. He plyed an important role in his capacity of President of Madhyawarti in the Akhil Bharatiya Samajonnati Parishad held in Pune. At present he is a Trustee of Madhyawarti Sanstha.
CKP EDUCATION SOCIETY, DADAR
Adv. Sharad Mokashi has been active with the CKP Education Society, Dadar for last 10 years. Earlier, he was a Trustee of the Society. Now he is the President.
DADAR VIDYAMANDIR AND NERAL VIDYAMANDIR
Adv. Mokashi worked in these educational Trusts initially as Joint-Secretary and Vice-President. At present he is a Trustee of both these Trusts.
BAPUJI DEVASTHAN, SAVARSAI, PEN
Adv. Mokashi is a Trustee of this Religious Trust. He works with open mindedly for religious causes.
12TH CKP SAMAJONNATI PARISHAD, 1986 AT VILE PARLE
Adv. Mokashi played a pivotal role in this Parishad in his capacity as the President of the Organising Committee.
RAIGAD REGIONAL SAMMELAN 2006 AT PEN
Adv Mokashi was President of the Welcome Committee of this Sammelan.
PLATINUM JUBILEE:
Adv. Sharad Damodar Mokashi completed 75 years of age on 25th August 2008. CKP Mandal, Vile Parle celebrated his Platinum Jubilee on grand scale on 16th November 1008 at Vile Parle Dnyatigruha. Representatives of all the organisations in which he has been active for years (CKP & Non-CKP) were invited and each organization made it a point to represent at the function. That was a testimony of his popularity. Because of time limitation, only one representative of each organization was allotted time to speak. Otherwise everyone present was anxious to speak his/her mind.
A LETTER OF HONOUR was given to Adv SHARAD MOKASHI at this memorable function. This letter of Honour was a heartfelt representation of each member of CKP Mandal, Vile Parle where he is regarded as “LOKAMANYAâ€. All the speakers in the celebration made it clear that he is not just a local “LOKAMANYA†but loved by the entire CKP community across the globe.
